The Stakis at Dunkeld was built by the 7th Duke of Atholl as a sporting
estate. It's stunning 280 acre estate now combines original Edwardian Country House
elegance with all the comforts of a modern, luxury resort hotel.
The picturesque River Tay winds its way, literally, past the hotel's front doorstep, and
we'll take advantage of some of the great activities
available.
Rooms in the original house retain their period grandeur and elegance, while those in the new wing have been designed to an equally high standard. The hotel's staff are friendly, helpful and always eager to make our stay fun. We have yet to see them fail, and given the great facilities and surroundings, we doubt they ever will.
Magnificently positioned on Craignure Bay on the
Sound of Mull, the Isle of Mull Hotel has panoramic views across the bay to
Duart Castle, the island of Lismore, the Moven Hills and in the distance Ben
Cruachan on the mainland.
The perfect place for our overnight stay on Mull.
The Richmond Hotel is situated in Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands, in the south of Moray. Tomintoul (pronounced "Tom-in-tool" by everyone except the residents, who steadfastly and rightly insist on "Tom-in-towel"), has been a favourite destination and stop-off for Highland travellers throughout the centuries.
The hotel is set on Tomintoul's lovely village square, and has recently been completely
restored but retains its country inn charm. This is the heart of Malt Whisky country and a perfect "home base"
for many of our Highland adventures.
You'll likely get to know the local's here, and no doubt will leave a new friend or two
behind when we sadly depart. If there is a single place where the phrase "land of ten
thousand welcomes" was born, this may be it!
The Balmoral Hotel, at No.1 Princes Street, Edinburgh, is internationally renowned as one of the Great Hotels of Old Europe. Built in 1902 and recently fully refurbished, The Balmoral is pure elegance. The kitchen is internationally acclaimed and the hotel prides itself on internationally seasoned, professional staff.
As Edinburgh's leading five-star venue for great occasions of all kinds and the last hotel on our vacation adventure, The Balmoral is a wonderfully fitting place to celebrate with a special dinner, recall our journeys and call home while we explore Edinburgh.
Rooms are of course individually decorated, with many offering breathtaking views of Edinburgh Castle and the city.
Truly, the lap of luxury.
